Biopen
BIOPEN is an open innovation platform focused on the bio-based industry, developed by Innovation Engineering to facilitate the match among SMEs, industries, research centers, and projects in the bio-based area.
The project aims to support collaboration and knowledge sharing in the biotechnology sector and to stimulate the creation of co-innovation partnerships for the development of new products and markets in the sector thanks to an open innovation platform able to involve industries, centers of research and university.
BIOPEN is not just a matchmaking database, but an actively managed, pre-compiled platform with relevant information on funding opportunities and offers members the possibility to search for information related to biology within patents, scientific articles, and any other open access repository.
Innovation Engineering is responsible for the definition of functional requirements of the BiOPEN Open Innovation platform for its release, maintenance, and development in terms of architecture, software development and applications. Innovation Engineering is also involved in the setting up the BIOPEN ecosystem needed for platform development, and it supports dissemination and exploitation activities.
Moreover, Innovation Engineering was responsible for the realization of the project visual identity, and has realized:
- The project logo design;
- The overall website;
- All the dissemination materials (e.g. brochures, posters, roll-up).
